Why Community Lab Exists

Community Lab was created to offer something many families struggle to find — a summer experience intentionally designed for neurodiverse youth.

This work began within our own family and grew from a desire to build the kind of environment we wished existed.

We believe the design of an environment shapes what is possible.

When structure is clear, movement is integrated, and support is respectful, confidence grows naturally.

Our program is grounded in lived experience, professional practice, and a commitment to thoughtful, adaptive design.

We keep our groups small. Our standards high. And our approach grounded in dignity and competence.

Who is Community Lab

This program was created by a family navigating neurodiversity firsthand. We built what we couldn’t find.

Community Lab was founded by parents whose professional work and personal journey have both been shaped by neurodiversity.

Our experience includes supporting youth across educational and community settings, leading and coordinating within specialized service environments, training Behavioural Aides, coaching families within the ASD community, and years of individualized home-based education.

We understand how multidisciplinary approaches work — and how structure, communication, and environment design directly impact regulation, learning, and confidence.

Community Lab is built to be safe and structured, with thoughtful, adaptive program design.

We understand what it feels like to search for something that actually fits your child.
